This panorama is of an iconic view of Bristol – you can see all the way from the wonderful Clifton Suspension Bridge, past the Observatory, along the coloured terraces of Clifton, all the way to Cabot Tower on Brandon Hill. It was the first one I drew and continues to be a favourite.
I start each of my large cityscapes by taking numerous photos, before heading to my studio to get drawing. When the pencil drawing is finished, I draw it again in pen, then scan the pen version into the computer and spend a ridiculous amount of time digitally adding the colour. The resulting high resolution digital image is printed on a large format printer as a high quality Giclée Print. My panoramas come in two sizes, 100 x 30cm (edition of 100), and 70 x 21cm (edition of 125). Each is numbered, signed, and embossed with my stamp in the corner.
city view. They have proved very popular as birthday and wedding gifts, are often bought for colleagues, and for those poor souls who are leaving Bristol and want to take a part of it with them. Of course the best gift is the one you buy for yourself, so if you would like one of my prints to come and live on your wall, please select the size you would like from the list below, then click on the button to be taken to PayPal.
Prints will be delivered in a sturdy cardboard tube. UK postage is free, for elsewhere in the World, please email me before you place an order (emily.ketteringham@gmail.com).
